Drivers bid on the delivery fee in real time and the customer picks the offer that fits their budget. Colibrí never takes a commission on that delivery fee — 100% of it goes to the driver.

What are guaranteed sales packages and why do I need them?

Instead of a per-order commission, owners prepay a package of guaranteed sales tokens (salePackages). Each completed order consumes one token from your wallet. There is zero commission on the item subtotal — you keep 100% of what you charge for your products, and you only pay the fixed, transparent cost of the package.

Can I sell products I don't stock myself?

Yes. Non-perishable business owners can list dropship SKUs sourced from KYC-verified wholesalers in Colibrí's network. You set your own markup on top of the wholesaler's cost, the order snapshot is locked at checkout, and the wholesaler ships directly to the customer — no need to hold that inventory yourself.

How and when do I get paid?

All owner payouts run through Stripe Connect. Once an order is completed, your share of the subtotal (100% for your own stock, or your markup for dropship items) transfers directly to your connected Stripe account on your payout schedule — no manual invoicing, no waiting on Colibrí to release funds.

Is catering handled differently from regular orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Catering is the one exception to our zero-commission model: Colibrí applies a small application fee (configurable per country, default 1%) on catering orders to cover the extra coordination involved in large, scheduled orders. Every other order type — food and non-perishable, own stock and dropship — remains commission-free on the subtotal.

What happens with scheduled (next-day / multi-day) shipments?

Orders scheduled for next-day, 2-day, or 3-day delivery ship through our third-party shipping partner (Shippo in V1.0) instead of the driver auction. Colibrí passes through the exact shipping cost with zero margin — what the customer is charged for shipping is exactly what we pay the carrier.

What does the KYC and bond requirement involve?

Every wholesaler completes an identity and business verification (Stripe Identity plus legal documents such as articles of incorporation and a good-standing certificate) before receiving marketplace access. Wholesalers also maintain a security bond — a prepaid balance that covers strikes or disputes without interrupting cash flow to business owners.

How does a dropship childOrder get created?

When a customer checks out a cart containing your SKUs, Colibrí splits the root order into per-vendor childOrders. The childOrder assigned to you contains a locked-in snapshot of the items, price and shipping address captured at checkout, so later catalog edits never change an order already in flight.

Who arranges and pays for shipping on my dropship orders?

Colibrí schedules the shipment with our third-party carrier and pays for it directly from the platform account. You are never charged for shipping and never have to arrange your own carrier account — it is a zero-margin pass-through cost between the customer and the carrier.

Similar to business owners, wholesalers prepay guaranteed-sales packages (wholesalerSalePackages). Each dropship order fulfilled consumes one token from your wallet. There is no per-order commission — you keep 100% of your product margin on every sale.

What happens when I update my master SKU catalog?

Accepted Answer

Editing a master SKU (price, description, stock) automatically flags every business owner's derived listing as pending_review and temporarily hides it from customers until the owner reviews the diff and republishes. Orders already placed are unaffected — they use the atomic snapshot captured at checkout.

How does the strike policy affect my account?

Accepted Answer

Fulfillment issues (late shipment, stockouts, quality disputes) can result in a strike, which debits a configured amount from your bond according to the country's strike policy. Accumulating strikes past the configured threshold, or letting your bond fall below the minimum, can suspend your account until it is resolved with our compliance team.
